The Consolation of Philosophy


The Consolation of Philosophy is considered widely to be the single most important work from the West during Medieval and early Renaissance Christianity. Often called the last great Classical work, authored by Boethius while a prisoner awaiting execution, had the goal and intent of preserving ancient classical knowledge, specifically relating to philosophy.
